It’s just past 8:30pm at night and I’m sitting at work typing this out listening to Apple music. I really want to go to the beach right now. I want to be out in the night dancing under the full moon and feeling the power that comes with it. Or, out in the city and feeling the hustle and bustle of everyone as they to and fro, and have their drinks and celebrate their weekends.
Instead, I’m at work, kicking off the first of my last five nights on the after hours shift roster that I work. I have about 10 hours to go on tonight’s shift… it’s not bad, really. The nights are good for quiet contemplation.
Tonight, I want either the sound of crashing waves or people around me. Typical, wanting what I can’t have tonight. 😉
Anyway, I suppose we’ll go back to fiction tonight… We’ll meet the woman with the white hair and golden eyes.
I want to say first off, to everyone who has commented on my writing to me personally and who are reading this, thank you. Your comments are uplifting and quite encouraging. That, and I feel like the Universe is beating me over the head with everyone telling me I need to continue, and I really appreciate that, thank you 🙂
Secondly, today will be fictional. I’m going to play a little bit with a Character I’ve created named Talise. She’s a selfish brat to start off with, but eventually her character arc will make her quite powerful and someone who is able to handle herself and who gives a damn about people other than herself… but until she gets there, she’s a drug addicted stripper who has a penchant for sleeping with anything as long as she can get off. You will learn why eventually as I dive into her story. As for the woman at the end, is she friend or foe? You’ll find out as well… eventually. Mwahahah!
Day 4 and 5 – Oops
Geez, not yet a full week into the year and I’ve skipped a day, ouch! To be fair yesterday was pretty hard, we met with the Celebrant to discuss things for Sarah and we had a lot of running around to do – so last night all I wanted was to curl up with a book and veg (which I did). Today was pretty tough too – it was my brother in law and my niece’s birthday, and both were celebrated with a massive size hole in our chests – which we managed to get through with only a minimal amount of weeping.
Sarah’s friends were AMAZING. They threw a beautiful birthday party for her daughter, and it was full of love, and laughter. They totally brought to my mind the definition of the words “Ohana” – it’s not biological family, it’s also the family that you create yourself and these girls are definitely Ohana.
But, for now, I thought I might dip into the fiction side of things and write a little bit on the more creative side. And, as I’m a day behind, today’s post will be two pages. ❤ Enjoy.
