Ok so I decided that I would use her as a vessel of Wrath. I’ve also included some of the background of my mythos with the Princes of Hell and what each of them do. You can see if you’ve been following the thread where many of them are interconnected. On with the story! 🙂
The hierarchy of Hell is one of those things that often times would confuse the demons themselves were it not drilled into them from the time that they were created. You had, of course, the main man himself, known as Satan or Lucifer. Then you had the six princes, and of course the queen of the succubi, Lilith herself. His princes were Leviathan, Mammon, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, Belphegor and Amon. Together with him, they often divided up the Sins of Humanity, each taking one and using it to corrupt and influence Humanity in their war with the Divine.
The big man himself, Lucifer, decided that Pride was the sin that suited him the most. After all, it was his Pride against the Divine that had caused for him to be cast out of heaven. He would seduce those who were the most prideful and most vain to his side, encouraging their thoughts in their own greatness.
Leviathan took Envy. He often found the humans who would covet what their neighbours had the most amusing, and it was that which he decided to entertain himself. He was known to encourage those who wanted the things they coveted to go after them, even up to committing murder for them.
Mammon preferred the sin of Greed to all others. He raised one of his lesser demons to the role of The Banker, an imp who would go out into the world and directly barter for the souls of those who wanted it all. And with The Banker doing his dirty work, Mammon grew rich – in money, and in souls.
Asmodeus along with Lilith both ruled the pleasures of the flesh via Lust. Lilith would send her succubi and incubi out to seduce hapless strangers into sexual frenzies while Asmodeus would remain lounging on his throne, being serviced by the Succubus Queen herself. They would pleasure themselves with each other as they watched Humanity struggle with the forces that they had unleashed.
Beelzebub, also known as the Lord of the Flies, feasted on the sin of Gluttony. He encouraged a voracious appetite in those who were keen enough to fall down his path before claiming their souls for himself. It was rumoured that he had allowed his minions to pervert a human woman that he then took as his bride after she had fallen into despair when she had begun to succumb to Gluttony.
Belphegor himself often found that he couldn’t be bothered in trying to harvest souls. Those who were apathetic to the world or who were too lazy to actually do anything would often find themselves under his tutelage. It was rumoured that he was one of the best Sins to actually have committed because let’s face it, eternity of just standing around doing nothing? Sloth’s dream, practically.
Last, but certainly not least, was Amon. Red was his colour and rage and anger were his game. Ruling over the sin of Wrath, Amon would turn on you when you least expected it and send your life crashing down. Many found themselves succumbing to his embrace before going out into the world in a frenzy of anger and violence.
Between the Lords and Lilith, they had managed to cause mass chaos for Humanity. The Divine would fight back with it’s own virtues and Angels, those of Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, and Humility. But it was clear that the forces of Hell were leading the charge.
It was with this in mind that Amon watched as his brother princes of Hell toiled restlessly. He often didn’t have to do much, except incite the more latent feelings of rage and anger in those who had it and they would do the rest. However, he felt a twinge and decided it was time for him to come out and play – and he had the perfect vessel for it. A young woman who had survived a vicious robbery only to repay her robber with a few gunshot wounds. She would cut a swath of rage and violence across the world unlike any that had been seen before. She would be his vessel.
