The main focus of this weekend for me has been to try and relax, I was absolutely shattered on Friday! I’ve been spending it reading, playing Final Fantasy IV on my ipad, and basically just trying to relax and chill out the best way possible.
I haven’t stopped with the Loremistress Project however 🙂 I’m not feeling overly creative myself today – I want to write this, and do another chapter in my Voltron Fanfiction – but I can’t let that stop me, now can I?
So far, in my writing, I’ve taken a real life situation that inspired me (seeing my cat sleeping), toyed around with an idea that’s been floating in my head for a while, some fanfiction, and of course something slightly erotic and bloody. Today, perhaps, I shall focus in the World of Warcraft.
The heavy sun of the Valley of the Four Winds beat down upon her mail clad back as she continued to work in the dirt, her paws gripping the plow before her tightly. This farm had become as much apart of her life as her elemental magics, the fire and lightning that ran in her veins.
Taking a moment to breathe deeply, she looked around. What had once been a mess of weeds and rocks was now a thriving farm, and she was a proud member of the Tiller’s Union, those who ran the farmlands around the Valley, and the settlement of Halfhill itself. She could remember the pride in his voice the day that Farmer Yoon had signed over the farm to her.
“Ho there!” Gina Mudclaw sang, coming down the dirt path. The shaman smiled as she watched one of her best friends come for a visit, the farm’s dog trailing after her and barking excitedly.
“Ho, Gina. What can I do for you today?” she asked conversationally.
“Kat, I was wondering if you might be able to grow some of those wonderful white turnips? We’re running a bit low in the markets and I know your produce is amazing!”
The shaman known as Kat frowned slightly and looked at the seed pouch at her belt. “Hmm. I’m running a bit low on seeds, I’ll have to head into the markets to pick some up. But surely you didn’t come over for just that did you?” she asked.
“Of course not, I came over for a good helping of gossip as well! You know me, always in the thick of it. Guess what? Rumor has it that Farmer Yoon is going to start looking for a WIFE!” Gina squealed, clapping her paws together.
“Oh my goodness! Does your sister know?” Tina Mudclaw, the sister of Gina and Haohan Mudclaw, was well known throughout the area for her love of bright sparkly things… and her crush on Farmer Yoon.
“Yes. She’s plotting on spending a lot more time at the markets. She also asked me to see if you would teach her how to cook, everyone knows your cooking puts Nan’s to shame!”
If the young Pandaren shaman could blush, she would have. “You’re just saying that!” she gasped.
“No, it’s true. But Tina really wants to learn how to make some of the more exotic dishes you know, like the ones from Stormwind and Darnassus.”
“Of course, send her my way and I’ll be more than glad to teach her. Tina was the first one who truly accepted me for who I am!” Kat said, smiling at her friend.
“Hey, now, I wasn’t very far off!” both Pandaren women began to giggle.
“This is true. Come inside for a while, and let’s have some of this tea that I’ve learned to brew lately, it’s from the South Islands. It would give Stormstout brewery a run for it’s money!”
Gossiping like the two best friends they were, the two women entered the small little farmhouse, chattering away for a few drinks and companionship.
